1. Service Overview
FaxChat ("the Service") is an online fax sending and receiving service operated by Interconnected Software, Inc., a Delaware C-corporation ("the Company"). Users can send faxes without creating an account by uploading a PDF file and specifying a recipient fax number. Subscription plans additionally provide a dedicated fax number and fax receiving capabilities.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
3. Service Description
- Upload a PDF file and specify the recipient fax number
- Pay via credit card through Stripe
- After payment, the fax is sent automatically
- Transmission status can be checked on the status page
- Subscription users can receive faxes and send batch faxes
4. Pricing and Payment
- Pay-per-use: $0.99 base fee + $0.25 per page
- Subscriptions: $7.99–$14.99/month (varies by plan)
- Payment is accepted via credit card through Stripe only
- Prices are in USD
5. Refund Policy
Payment is collected before sending. If the fax fails to connect to the recipient's fax machine (wrong number, busy signal, line error, etc.), a full automatic refund is issued. Issues occurring after the recipient's machine has received the data (e.g., paper jam) are not eligible for refund. No refunds are issued after successful delivery.
6. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Service to:
- Send threatening, harassing, or defamatory content
- Send unsolicited faxes (spam)
- Send documents related to fraud or illegal activities
- Infringe on the rights of others
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations (including TCPA / Junk Fax Prevention Act)
- Interfere with the operation of the Service
7. Logging and Disclosure
To prevent misuse and comply with applicable laws, we log the following information:
- Sender's IP address
- Recipient fax number
- Date and time of transmission
- Stripe payment information (email, partial card info)
- Uploaded files (deleted after a retention period)
We may disclose this information in response to valid legal process from law enforcement.
8. Usage Limits
To prevent abuse, fax sending is limited to 10 transmissions per IP address per day. We reserve the right to suspend service without notice if prohibited use is detected.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for delays, non-delivery, or data corruption in fax transmissions.
10. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted on this page.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Delaware.
